Daily Variety asked members of the Television Critics Assn. to pick the best of the smallscreen from the past decade. Nominees were announced in June, and a final vote on the finalists took place in July.
To make a long story short: The Sopranos is still everyone’s media darling.
Not that it wasn’t a good show - well-acted, well-written, and the like - but next to The West Wing? OZ? Even The X-Files during fifth season? (That would be ‘98, I guess - Gods, I feel old…)
I feel they picked too much current crap. Ugh. (And where’s Friends? Geez.)
(On a related note: It still boggles my mind that OZ never received much kudos. That is a fucking crying shame, right there.)
